About Rally Rus
Hi, I’m Rally!
I create high-protein, low-carb keto recipes and simple keto guidance for real life. I focus on protein-first meals made with everyday ingredients, especially cottage cheese, that feel satisfying and doable, not overwhelming.
Through my recipes and guides, I help busy people keep keto simple and consistent, without extremes or complicated rules.
My Relationship With Food – Dieting, Yo-Yo Cycles, and Sustainability
Like many people, I started dieting in my teenage years. I tried different approaches, followed strict rules, and experienced the yo-yo effect – losing weight, regaining it, and starting over.
That cycle taught me an important lesson early on: a diet that isn’t sustainable won’t last, no matter how effective it looks short term. Shifting my mindset from restriction to sustainability became the foundation of everything I do now.
Learning Flavor Through Food and Travel
Cruise Ships, Cultures, and Curiosity
In my twenties, I worked on cruise ships and traveled extensively, experiencing food from many cultures. That’s where I learned how much flavor, texture, and creativity food can hold, and how satisfying meals don’t have to be boring or repetitive.
Life in the UK and Everyday Cooking
I was born in Bulgaria, but don’t expect a Bulgarian recipe archive. My food is mostly American comfort flavors, with a pinch of Bulgarian and international influence mixed in when it makes sense.
After moving to the UK, I learned to adapt those experiences to real home cooking. Real kitchens. Real ingredients. Real life.
Today, my recipes are influenced by Bulgarian roots, UK comfort food, international cuisines, and a love for American-style food. I mix cuisines freely, experiment often, and don’t believe food needs to stay in neat boxes to be enjoyable.
If you’re looking for strictly traditional recipes, this might not be the place. But if you love simple, flavorful food that actually tastes good, you’ll fit right in.
Why Keto and Protein-First Meals
I started keto in 2019, and it’s been part of my life for over seven years.
What made keto sustainable for me wasn’t perfection or strict rules. It was learning how to:
- Prioritize protein.
- Keep meals satisfying.
- Cook food I genuinely enjoy.
That’s why my recipes focus on high-protein keto recipes designed for real life, often sized for one or two people and made without unnecessary complexity.
Beyond Recipes
As the site has grown, I’ve started creating practical guides, recipe eBooks, and simple tools for people who want a bit more structure alongside individual recipes — things like food lists, meal prep help, and protein-focused ideas that make everyday keto easier to maintain.
These resources are designed to be clear, realistic, and genuinely useful, whether you’re just getting started or looking for ways to stay consistent long term.
These resources are created to support:
- Consistency without overwhelm.
- Simple meal planning.
- Protein-focused everyday eating.
I’m continuing to build more guides and recipe collections as the site grows.
Experience & Approach
Alongside years of hands-on experience cooking and eating this way, I’ve completed formal training in health and nutrition coaching. While I don’t offer one-to-one coaching, this education supports how I research, test, and explain recipes and food choices.
My focus is always on clarity, responsibility, and long-term sustainability, not quick fixes or extremes.
