These Easy Keto Sausage Rolls are perfect for anyone following a low-carb or keto diet. Made with almond flour and mozzarella cheese, these rolls are a delicious and gluten-free alternative to traditional sausage rolls.

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with a piece of parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese together. Stir until smooth.
  • Add the melted cheese mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix well.
  • Add the egg and knead the dough until it forms a ball.
  • Roll out the dough between two pieces of parchment paper to about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Cut the dough with a sharp knife into 6 rectangles. Place a sausage on each rectangle. Cut each sausage lengthwise about halfway down and fill with cheddar cheese, then roll up.
  • Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes in the preheated oven or until golden brown.

Notes

  • Sausages: I used Italian thin sausages for this recipe. If you use larger sausages, you may end up with fewer than 6 portions, which could affect the nutritional values provided.
  • For best results, use pre-shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Make sure the dough is evenly rolled out to ensure even baking.
  • You can use any kind of sausage you prefer.
