I love starting my day with a creamy cup of bulletproof coffee. It’s an easy way to boost my energy levels and keep me full for a long time. Plus, it’s a great way to get my daily dose of healthy fats.
- 1 cup coffee
- 1 tablespoon grass-fed butter
- 1 tablespoon MCT oil or coconut oil
Get Recipe Ingredients
Brew your hot coffee using a French press or your preferred method (my favorite is double esspresso).
Add the unsalted butter and MCT oil to your coffee.
Stir vigorously with a spoon or use a milk frother to mix until creamy.
- I would personally recommend starting with 1 teaspoon of coconut oil or MCT oil and gradually increasing the dose. Some people have told me it can act as a laxative (I was happy with this side effect). Increasing the fat gradually will ensure you feel good.
- Use a milk frother for a nice foam.
- If you don’t have a milk frother, a tall cup and a spoon work well. I personally only use a spoon to stir the oil while drinking the coffee. It’s easier and quicker. Just stir every time before you sip.
- For a vegan bulletproof coffee, use coconut oil and almond milk.
