A bright, cozy, sugar-free cranberry sauce made with real cranberries, lemon, and warm spices. It thickens naturally without starch and takes only 10 minutes.
Add the cranberries, sweetener, water, lemon, and spices to a medium saucepan. Place the pan over medium heat, stir once, then cover with a lid so the cranberries soften evenly.
1 cup cranberries, 1/2 cup Swerve (granulated), 1/3 cup water, 2 teaspoons lemon zest, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon chilli powder
Stir occasionally and let some steam escape. Keep the heat at a gentle simmer. Within 8 to 10 minutes, the berries break down, the juices thicken, and the mixture turns glossy.
Take the pan off the heat and let the sauce cool. It will thicken as it cools. Taste once cool and add more sweetener for less tartness or an extra splash of lemon for more brightness.
