This Homemade Keto Sugar Free Blueberry Jam is perfect for those on a keto diet or looking to reduce their added sugar intake. Made with simple ingredients, this jam is a great way to enjoy the natural sweetness of blueberries without the carbs.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons Swerve
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the blueberries, Swerve, water, and lemon zest.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • Stir occasionally until the blueberries are soft and the sauce is thickened.
  • You can use a potato masher to mash the blueberries to your desired consistency.
  • Some recipes call for xanthan gum or other thickeners. However, if you simmer it on medium heat, it will thicken on its own.
  • Remove from heat and let the jam cool.
  • Transfer the jam to a clean jar and store in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • For a smoother jam, blend the blueberries in a food processor before cooking.
  • Add a tiny bit of xanthan gum to thicken the jam if needed.
