This smooth and creamy Italian whipped cottage cheese dip is a cozy high-protein keto appetizer made in under 5 minutes. Perfect as a savory spread, dip, or breakfast topper with just 1.9g net carbs per serving.

  • Add the cottage cheese to a small food processor or bowl.
    1/2 cup full-fat cottage cheese
  • Blend until the mixture looks smooth, soft, and creamy - no visible curds or lumps should remain.
  • Sprinkle in the dried basil and oregano. Stir gently with a spoon or spatula until the herbs are evenly mixed through.
    1/4 teaspoon dried basil, 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Serve right away, or cover and chill in the fridge for 1 hour to let the flavors blend and the dip thicken slightly.

Notes

  • Makes approximately 4 tablespoons. A serving is 2 tablespoons. 
  • Great as a spread, dip, or paired with low-carb Italian dishes.
  • For best texture and taste, always use full-fat cottage cheese.
  • I tested this with both an immersion blender and a mini food processor. The food processor gives a slightly fluffier texture, but both work beautifully.
